Description

We are working on behalf of this well-established Bahrain based organisation that requires a General Manager for immediate employment within a trading/contracting business specializing in waterproof subcontracting. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES: Includes but are not limited to the following: • Marketing and sales of relevant products. • Provide an annual budget that shall be reviewed quarterly by the Managing Director. • Work to restructure and organize the company by taking necessary steps to create an efficient company that can both serve customers by quoting and supplying materials as well as overseeing execution of jobs through assigned supervisors in the organization. • Coordinates technical liaison services between product supplier and customers/ informs customers of new product types, specifications, and end-uses of products. • Confers with product suppliers for assistance on specific classification of products from quality assurance position, reports on new product technology of competitors and discuss new specifications required by customers. • Process qualification and registration of new products with clients. • Co-ordinates customer complaints with product suppliers and CBM management regarding quality, tolerances, specifications and delivered conditions of products. • Draws up sales or service contracts for products and / or services. • Collects tenders from clients and develop a quotation to client in line with company pricing policy. • Follow-up with clients to develop purchase orders. • Approve and create purchase orders with suppliers. • Approve and create quotations to clients. • Manage company cash flow through analyzing reports and holding meetings and discussions with Accounts and the Managing Director. • Approve supplier’s invoices and verify payments to them. • Follow-up on payment from the client. • Schedule and attend progress meetings. • Co-ordinate with Senior Sales Executive on receiving material at warehouse and initiating delivery of sold material at warehouse. • Oversee and ensure that checks on inventory at warehouse are performed regularly to ensure good stock control. • Entertain clients while presenting to them products for both specification and general use on projects. • Other duties may be assigned and as per work requirements. Experience: • Minimum 5-10 years experience related in management and sales of construction chemicals and materials. • Good background in waterproofing, epoxy coatings and doors required. m2r is working on behalf of this organisation (the Client) and acting as their CV filtering service.
